Well, cyberpower claims that they assembled mine yesterday. . . it's now just a matter of it making it through "quality control" and "final quality control" until they ship (overnight). . . I'm am about to start running up the walls with all this built up anticipation. Well that and the accessories I've order from elsewhere are already here so they mock me everytime I look at them .

Have you checked your order status lately fiction?

The font is too small for my camera.. It's in a manual. I can't seem to make it clear, is there anyway to focus it to make it clear? I have a Sony Cybershot 5.0 Megapixel.

Does it have a macro mode?
Don't think so.

Its in the Half-Life: Blue Shift Manual, Page 4. Recommended System Requirements, "Intel Pentium III or AMD"
hmmm I should have that. Maybe hard-ish to find though... Perhaps later on tonight.

DAMN!!! HURRY UP AND GET YOUR LAPTOP FICTION I WANT TO ORDER ONE!!!
Hehe, for sure, I'll post up some pics and some prelims the moment I get it. the guys from cyberpower must think they have a hacker from how often I've been checking the status of my order. They do have until the 2nd to send my order out, but I am really really hoping it got shipped out today or ships out tomarrow so I have the weekend to play with it.

I suppose I really should start taking requests on what you guys would like to see for performance. . . I don't have any of the latest games (yet) so try and keep it to stuff I can download for free.

Also, I'm not going to write up a full review since fiction1337 said that he wanted to do one; but I'll try and answer any questions.

Tekara: You said you went with a Mitac - which OEM?

As for performance numbers: UT2K4 and Aquamark 3 for starters

gaming is not really a priority, though i am going to ripp this baby up when i get it , but just see how Win Xp runs off the 64 bit system, how is it compared to previous machines you've worked with, BIG diffrenece small difference, any negatives t othe system it self, battery life for one since i hear it gives up to like 200 min which is a little over 2 hours , just give what u can because im inches away from makin this thing mine

I ordered my laptop through cyberpowerpc as well, I think my order was placed about a day before fiction1337's. They were running a 5% off deal during that week so I manged to get a pretty decent deal on it.

Well current desktop is a xp2400+ with an AIW9700 so the laptop has some stiff competition. The desktop is going to be migrated into the home theater which was what it was initially bought for but ended up being my main pc for about a year. The laptop is going to become my main rig, so it's definately going to be put through the ringer .

The battery is going to be of some concern to me as well, since I plan on using it almost daily away from the house, I am fairly interested in seeing how long I can get that battery to last with some underclocking.

i mean from what i read at hypersonic-pc, they said you got 140 min -200 min standard, unclocking i say you get an extra 30 min out of the thing
post #99 of 202
yeah the emachines are getting about 180min with the underclock to 800mhz, which is something else I'm interested in, which is if my processor will underclock to 800mhz on battery. . . which it should since it's supposed to be apart of the amd drivers.

also interested in seeing if the new amd drivers allow the processor to change speed according to use, which has been rumored about by a couple posts.

Can't wait for these A64 reviews! I was about to place an order with Hypersonic 'coz of the faster memory and 'coz i have heard good reseller reviews about them. From what i can see on the cyberpower website they only offer a 1yr warranty. Is the 802.11G built in or a PC Card?
