PC Torque is coming back!

Thread Starter
We are happy to let you know that PC Torque is going back to selling Sager laptops.

We heard from a lot of people who wanted to see the site continue, so even though we need to devote most of our energies now to making the Forums the best that they can be, we have found some people who share our level of dedication and they will be running PC Torque for you. We will continue to work closely with them to make sure that quality and service will remain high, and we encourage you to give them your business.

WELCOME BACK, PC TORQUE! The best is yet to come!! Stay tuned for more information.

A HA! I finally understand your business model!

Build up excellent brand equity in the pctorque name, then sell that business.

I thought you guys were nuts but that makes perfect sense.

Congrats! I hope you hit jackpot with the domain sale/brand equity.

EDIT by Laura: It's not accurate to say that we sold PCT to make a killing. Instead, when we realized how much PCT was missed, we found a great team that will be able to take that business to the next level while we focus on our publishing at NBF, sR and a couple of yet-to-be-released sites. We are working closely with the new team, and we hope that you will find this new arrangement to be even better than PCT was before. We really do believe that for PCT, the best is yet to come!

If they did sell the businnes, then what's wrong with that? - especially if they will be closely involved - at least from the onset. Noboby buys a business to "drive it into the ground" and I, for one, would expect the same TLC from the new crew as the old one.

From my point of view they initially intended to abandon the retail side of things because they could not focus on that and their new venture. Now, they have "listened" to all of the PCT devotees and decided that continuing the venture was worthwhile - if not for them, for someone else.

I'd say "Good show" and we will wait and see what the future brings.

PC TORQUE ROCKS! Glad to hear it, I was really dreading the thought of interfacing with Sager directly, I have had some funny experiences with their staff. PC TORQUE has my business and Luke has been great...

GAME ON!

THANK YOU for bringing PCTorque back. If I decide on Sager for my next notebook purchase, it will be from you.
