Has anyone experience the dell duplicate order phenomenon? I ordered an M1710 and because of numerous instances of being screwed around by customer service I decided to cancel. It seemed to me that if ever I sent it back with a problem I would feel all the problems once again so I thought getting rid of the order was the wisest decision. A few days later everything was cancelled and I had ordered from a UK based company with a better spec laptop for cheaper so I was happy But Dell had a problem with my happiness and got in touch saying a duplicate order for the same system had shown up on their records and was it correct. I let them know it was not correct and to cancel it which they said had happened, yet again I was happy But! Dell hate me being happy and today I got a call to arrange delivery of my laptop! I kindly informed the courier that I had cancelled and could they please update their system. The ironic thing is the ghost order would have been delivered earlier than the estimated delivery for the original order! I would like to say ... Dell... I am not happy .... please dont send me a load of servers or something.
