Aww come on. Dont be mean. Turion is a pretty good processor. It isnt dual core like everything is going right now, but dual core right now does nothing for gaming. No games right now utilize dual core. I configured a Dell XPS 1710 for $2,915 with only 1 NVidia 7900 gs. I then configured an Alienware m9700 with 2 NVidia 7900 gs's (SLI) and with everything that the 1710 has except Dual core proc for $3,009. Now that is not overpriced. So dont bash Alienware. Im not bashing Dell. EDIT: Forgot to add that with the Alienware m9700 with only 1 NVidia 7900 gs is only $2,610.

Kazkek: Actually Quake 4 utilizes dual core, and more and more games are being programed for dual core. And the Dell xps 1710 and the m9700 actually balance themselves out, one is very good for gaming performance but the processor isn't the best nor is it dual core, the 1710 has good gaming performance and a very good processor so its like
m9700-mostly gaming
1710-everything but gaming is better on the m9700

ok sorry got of track there, E1705. Configure it above 2k then use the 759 $ coupon, go to www.slickdeals.net or a coupon website like that or just use google

Oh.. I've never played Quake 4 though. Lol.. I stand corrected.\

Edit: I thought it said Celeron Not Centrino, My fault. That is a pretty good deal from Best Buy.

add that oblivion uses duelcore also. and get your facts straight clock per clock core duo is faster than desktop x2 processor and any amd laptop processor.

Alienwares are overpriced. Nearly every model they offer, you can buy the exact same thing without the pretty artwork thru Sager for 500 bucks or more cheaper. There is a reputable person on this board thats selling new M1710s with the GTX card for 2309 shipped. If you want the GTX, Id look at that or the Sagers. Your not gaining alot by having SLI cards, except for weight and less battery life, if those things matter to you. Most games have yet to take full advantage of the SLI setup. Nothing Alienware has to offer really stands out above Sager.
