Yep, I did the unthinkable. I modded my M1210!
What did I do?
Well, I removed the little panel above the keyboard, and put two little pieces of black electrical tape where the blue LEDs are for POWER and MEDIADIRECT. Now, no more ugly blue LEDS blinding me in dimly-lit rooms! Yay!
If my M1710 doesn't have blue LEDs (it certainly has other LEDs
), the M1210 doesn't need them either. Heck, it already has a powered-on green LED anyway!
I highly recommend this two-second modification.

Nope, just checked. You can only turn off the Media button LEDs at the front. Not the power/mediadirect LEDs.
