The P100-ST9012 only comes with 1GB of PC4200 RAM not PC5300. I've got the P100-ST9012 and upgraded the RAM to 2GB of PC5300. Since you suggest you are going to be gaming I would go ahead and suggest the P100 model because it comes with the 512MB 7900GTX graphics card. You can always upgrade the RAM later. If you want 2GB of faster RAM now then get the P105. Both the P100 and P105 will be noticably faster on the graphics side of things (as compared to the Sony). I really think it is a wash between the two Toshibas. You are trading faster RAM & CPU (P105) for faster and smaller HD (P100). Which is more important to you?

i aggree. 2gb hardly made a difference. p100 s9012 is the best one to get since your gonna use it for gaming(mostly) and the hd speed helps alot too

yea i understand but how much of a difference does the gtx make in real world?? i kno on paper and stats its crazy, but idk 512mb seems a little overkill for me. IDK im still undecided, sorry for skepticism.

compared that top the GS look at the clock diffrence and stuff! think of all the FPS you can get with .. at high details and high res, 512Mb will serve you well

Put it this way, why get the underpowered graphics then be on here a week after and say you wish you would have gotten the gtx. Given the fact that you like to game, why not get the best they've got especially since the prices are identical. Memory is easily upgradeable, graphics are not

hd is also upgradable, cpu wont make alot of difference, only 170mhz diffrence, its alllll in the GFX

I got the 9312 and would have gotten the p100-9012 if it was an option for me; but I also got the unit for under $1700 and only paid $100 for a three year warranty with up to three screen replacements. If I could have found the p100-9012 , it would have been no where near that price for either as my cousin works in a large retail chain that sells the one I got.

But, I've been playing Oblivion on ultra detail and no lag; only issue I have is that Nvidia drivers don't see the card as one of their own; even though I went through the Driver Upgrade button via desktop properties. But it was still cheaper than the Dell I was looking at.

same with all GF7 toshiba notebooks. stick with the one that came with your laptop, i tried one of the drivers on laptop2go drivers and it hardly made a difference(like +5 score on 3dmarks) totaly not worth it you might get some game problem or some kind of graphics problem
