The Toshiba A8 is on special from Toshiba direct at around $899. The Satellite A105-S4084 is on sale at Circuit City with rebates for $849. The Satellite has 1024MB (twice as much) and a larger hard drive at 120GB. But has T2050 opposed to the T2300 the Tecra has. Here are the specs for both. Has anyone had experience with the performance of either of these machines? It's to be used for a college student. Thanks in advance.
