e1705 still running on battery

yesterday when i turned on my e1705 for the first time and plugged it in, for some reason it said that it was running on battery power. After an hour it went to about half way too.. how do u set it to run on the adapter.

Hmm you made sure that the AC power brick had power on it? A green LED will light up on the AC power brick. Then just plug at the back of your E1705 and it should start charging your battery. Make sure you see a green LED on the power brick.

Make sure your AC adapter is plugged all the way in to your laptop. If it is, then it's defective and needs to go back to Dell.
