When you get it. take about 2 minutes (if you're really slowwww) and pull off the hard drive access cover and see what kind of SATA connector they are using.... Service and Maintance Guide I think saying it's a ATA-5, instead of a regular SATA connector????
I wondering if it's a STANDARD SATA connector.... My dv8000t
uses a standard SATA connector.... was wondering if the hard drives would interchange.
When On HP's site looking thru the parts listing briefly, it being listed as a SATA II drive... and in the Service Manual it saying it's got a ATA-5 interface
The connector on the dv8000t
motherboard looking something like this, except without the wires
The same physical connections are used on 3.5-in (90mm) and 2.5-in (70mm) (notebook) hard disks.
