Anyone have any comments on this brand?

General consensus around here is to avoid them. But if you buy from them then hope that the machine you receive actually works.

erm where is that consensus from?

They have problems, sure. But their resellerrating is higher than companies like bestbuy and buy.com

I would buy from them if it was the cheapest place to get what I was looking for

Bought a notebook from them last year, for my birthday. Still have not seen the return money. 4 memory failures, 3 hard drives that malfunctioned, multiple times that they didn't plug the fan in and I had the Cpu seated improperly. I found that they always complain when I try to get them to do something about it. Never touch this company.

Thanks guy's for the response. I really would like to get a Dell M1710. Dell's reseller rating though was 3.77! I wonder how accurate those ratings really are.

pretty good, check out geared2play, and newegg on reseller ratings

i bought my rig (in sid) nearly 2 years ago from them and honestly couldn't be happier, they gave me the best price (by FAR) and the system has been great. Granted I had to RMA to replace a screen that crapped in 1/2 year but that was taken care under warranty. Their tech support....ie when you call them is the best out of any brand i ever worked with (on par with ASUS i'd say). Their RMAs are a tad slow (mostly due to ground shipping both ways cross country).

So consensus to stay away from them.....not so "con-ny" anymore...

Doesn't mean jack, more people complain then praise. Best Buy and Buy.com have a larger customer base, which means more idiots complaining, meaning lower percentage numbers.

You have to remember, not everybody uses those sites properly. Some fault the store for problems with the product itself (product sucks, doesn't do what they expected, etc), or something UPS or Fedex did.

They are resellers who sell ODM machines. I bought a laptop from them in 2005. If you have to deal with their tech support it CAN be quite vexing. Top notch ordering experience, lazy tech support.

Resellerratings.com IS a good way to analyze a store's performance but keep in mind what BBowermaster said in his post.
