Problems viewing pictures on W3J

Gidday all.

Finally received my new W3J yesterday, took me a while to find the 2nd RAM slot under the keyboard but got there in the long run. Anyway, spent a while transferring all my photos over from my "old" M6030V, using a memory stick, but I am having problems viewing them.
On my old machine I would open "My Pictures" and Windows Picture and Fax Viewer would display them. On my new machine, "My Pictures" views them using Microsoft Photo Editor, which sux (to me anyway). Can anyone tell me how to get them to open with Widows Picture and Fax Viewer? This thread should perhaps be over in Support, but I'll see how I go.

Thanks guys.

You need to change your mime type mapping. Open My Computer => Tools=>Folder Options=>File Types. Scroll down and find your file extension (jpg, jpeg, gif, etc.),hightlight it and select change. Find your Windows Picture and Fax program and select it. Now when you double click one of those files it will open in the selected program. Hope that makes sense.

Another way is to right click on the file you want to open in photo viewer, and say "open with" / "choose program", then choose Photo Viewer from the list, and click the "Always open using this program" check box.
