dell xps m1210...i would recommend sony sz but above your price range... the xps is 12.1" lil smaller than what you want but still packs a punch. Get a coupon for 30% off use it on small business, it works sometimes. If not, go to costco, they have one for $1300.

I was looking at xps1210 previously, but found 12" to be too small for my liking.

I would stick to 13.3-14

HP's dv5000t is a little bit bigger than your screen size range, but it starts a full pound less than your current laptop. It would meet all your requirements but the screen size.

If you are absolutely sure you want a laptop with a screen between 13.3-14, the HP dv2000t is customizable to your given specifications for under $1400. Its only issue would be it uses an Nvidia Go7200 instead of the 7400, but as near as I can gather from the HP website, it still has 128 MB dedicated memory (I could be wrong on that though).

Those are the only laptops I know of that come close. Personally, I prefer HP, and I am seriously considering getting the dv2000t as a portably gaming laptop also. Hope that helped.
