Drivers

Hello all,

This morning I was searching the dell driver site to try and upgrade some of the drivers on my e1705. The one thing I discovered thoug was that I wasnt sure what drivers I exactly needed. There was a category for "Displays" and I wasnt sure which one was one my comp. Is there any way to figure out which screen you have on your e1705 and is there a way to find out exactly which drivers you need? Also is there a more efficient way to get the drivers besides from the dell website? Thanks for the help.

Other than your video card, the Dell drivers are your best bet. As for a display driver, you dont need one for your laptop display, just for an external (and even then, you usually wont need one).

And, Welcome to the NBF!

Alright thanks a lot. What would you recommend for the video card drivers? The ones that can be oc'd?

Im pretty sure you have to flash the GPU bios to OC that card. There are a few threads on how to do it floating around. HERE is one.

As for just drivers, check out GeforceTony's drivers, or www.laptopvideotogo.com

Hope this helps!
