Home user,

Mine doesnt realy get that hot. When I am playing Oblivio, which is probably the best test for the comp, the left side gets a little hot, but definetely not enough to burn me. I makes my hands sweat a little, but I have really sweaty hands, so maybe it's me. I would even venture to say it gets "warm", not hot.

If it gets hot enough to burn you, go exchange it, that isn't normal.

My 2 cents

Get a laptop cooler or a riser for it; airflow is key - just remember it is going to get warm, even very warm, possibly very, very warm... but too hot to use, not so far with mine.

I dont think you mentioned, where are you using it when it gets hot. Are you using it on a soft surface (bed/lap) or is it on a desk????????

Took it back.

Thanks all, based on your comments, it was clearly not working right, so I took it back and await a replacement. It was open on a table when it overheated. The left keys were so hot, by the time I stopped typing the tips of the fingers on my left hand were slightly blistered.
