z96j typing problems? please help

Thread Starter
I just received my Z96J two days ago and so far I love it. But today I started having some problems with my keyboard. What happens is when I type, or when the cursor is in a type-able location, my laptop will all of the sudden act like i just hit the spacebar, when i didnt. and if i dont hit anything at all when that happens, then it acts like the spacebar is being held down and just starts inserting a stream of spaces. Its really a pain as it probably took me 5 minutes to get it to stop so I could log into these forums without screwing up my password. Does anyone have any ideas of what may have caused this and more importantly what might fix it?

Thanks

The cables connecting the keyboard to the mobo might be loose, so check the contacts.

bios problem?

i've had experience with hp laptops where the problem was caused by a bios problem, and in some cases a bios update would fix the problem. i eventually 'solved' the problem on a laptop by just disabling the key using third party software.. if the problem persists you should consider getting a replacement from the reseller
