X1600 driver update on the W3J

Thread Starter
I just got my brand new beeewtiful W3J today, and I'm trying to get all the drivers and stuff set up. (thanks to spax for all the help.. geared2play was a great seller. I got the lappy exactly when they said it would come)

however!

One problem Im getting is that I cant update the drivers for my x1600! I went to ATI and downloaded a program that checks if I am eligible for an update. It says that the "updates are not appliable for my system".

And yes, I was checking out the mobility catalyst, not the desktop catalyst.
ATI FAQ says systems with specific custom configurations wont be able to install the stock versions of catalyst, and that I need to get a update from the vendor, which in my case is asus.

Anybody know what I should do?
Thanks

www.omegadrivers.net

install those instead.. those are tweaked drivers which will give you increased benchmark scores and FPS in games. but first uninstall the ones you currently have with this: http://www.drivercleaner.net/professional.html
