I just received my Inspiron 6400/e1505, and I noticed 3 discrepancies with what I actually ordered. I ordered for 1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 1 DIMM. But instead, I got 1GB DDR2 533MHz 2 Dimm. I also did not get Integrated Sound Blaster® Audigy® ADVANCED HD Audio, which I ordered. And instead of getting the Nylon Backpack Carrying Case, I got Nylon Deluxe Carry Case. I made my order using email and phone, but I do have the email that has my intended setup which was agreed by the sales rep. What should I do in this case, to get what I really ordered?

Well it's obvious isn't it? Call/ e-mail Dell and explain the discrepancies, and they will organise to have it rectified (and may throw you a little something for the trouble if you're lucky). You shouldn't have a problem, especially if you've not gotten what you've paid for, they won't want you going to consumer affairs (or whatever the US equiv is).

And next time don't do your order through "phone/email" but through their website. You're just asking for trouble

Thanks for the reply. So after talking to Dell Customer Care numerous times, this is what they replied: "the Sales Rep and you came to an
agreement, I can not advised as to why that agreement was not followed, only he can. If you would like this issue resolved you will need to talk to the sales rep about this. " So then I tried contacting the Sales Rep, and amazingly, his email is no longer valid (he is fired or transferred or something?) So what should I do now...
