Id like to get an idea when you ppl think a beast like this might be introduced. And also, at what varying costs. I have decided that this is exactly what I want and wanted to poll the ppl alot more familiar with these things than I. Thanks for participating!

Intel said today (7/27) it would ship the new MEROM dual core mobile processor in late August. - Laptop Logic

So I'd expect late Sept or Oct.

Damn! Oh well, I'll just wait for it. Get some more use out of this old 650mhz athlon desktop I guess... My processor is so large in this thing, and it looks just like an old atari cartridge. Oh well im waiting for 64 bit and wont settle for this 32 bit core duo we have now.

Can any1 else confirm this? I thought they were shipping merom already but maybe not...
