Need to make a decision by day's end...is this a good or ok deal?

In my long search for a replacement to a Dell 9400, I've decided that the new Toshiba P100 series is right up my alley.

Right now, at Futureshop in Canada, they have the following model on sale.

Core Duo 1.83
1GB DDR2
100 GB 5400 SATA
GeForce Go 7300 (shows 512 -some shared- as v-ram in Nvidia tool/settings thingy)
17 inch TruBright
and the rest is pretty standard.

Going for $1499 from $1599

For $1397 I found the same model with a 1.66 Core Due and 512 ram but it seems like less of a deal.

Should I go for the first option or is this too high a price?

go with the $1499....well worth it.

As for price...if you an wait till mid August in Canada...you'll save more.

thanks, I was told in another post that it was too high given the video card but the only next step up (that's available locally) is the 7900 GS and I don't need that or the price (2299).
