Desktop - Laptop Trade Value

Hi all,

Im new to the forums but this seems like a pretty awesome site. I was just wondering what sort of laptop I would be able to get if I was to trade my desktop for one. Desktop specs are listed below.

AMD Athlon 3700+ @ FX-57 Speeds
ASRock 939 Dual Sata II Mobo - Supports AM2 w/ addon board
4x512mb OCZ PC3200
Maxtor 200gb Hard Drive
(Real ATI) Radeon X850 Pro Unlocked to 16 pipelines @ 550/580 w/ Zalman Cooler
Liteon CD/RW and Samsung DVD-ROM

Aquamark 3 - 80,129
3DMark 03 - 13459
3DMark 05 - 6621
3DMark 06 - 2345

Your best bet is to take it apart and sell the items individually. That might take longer, but ull get a better price for them. Try looking around on ebay for each individual part, and get an idea of what those items go for.

maybe like an XPS 170 or 9300 with like a 6800 ultra/6800 go. But that 37700 OC's very nice, so you could say 3700 @ FX-57 speeds if you want to make it sound more appealing

Haha thanks for the idea - that would make it sound a little nicer An XPS 170 is also sort of what I would like to get with a 6800 Ultra. Space is started to become a bigger issue for me and having a laptop would make things a lot easier. It would also be A LOT easier for lanfests and such. EDIT: Would a 6800 Ultra play BF2, COD2 and FEAR at respectable settings?

Yes it would, quite nicely too. I'd say it scores in the 5k 3dm05 range, just to give u an idea of its power.

Thanks adin. Maybe I'll have to look into gettng myself an XPS 170 then. First I just need to sell my desktop
