alienware alx notebooks

When will the alienware alx notebooks be cheaper? for a loaded one cost about $5500 it should be at least $4000.

I would imagine the high price is because of all the little bells, whistles and perks that you get as an ALX customer. This is just a guess since I've never purchased any of Alienware's ALX line of systems.

Nope, i highly doubt that the price will drop, with the mALX you get great service, a cool paintjob, great quality and design, your own mALX customer support person, and some other stuff. All companys like money, and Alienware does too. Its like nordstrom (clothing store where i live), they'll buy there clothes maybe in another country for like 20 $, then they jack up the price 400 % so now its 80 $, and people buy it. This is not an insult to alienware, every company does it. It just matters what percentage to they multiply the base number by...

Alienware is like any other high end company in its industry. If you look at car companies for example you're not going to see Porsche drop its MSRPs on its models. They're just going to keep selling until production ends.
