I found this deal on an AW area-51M 7700, was just wondering if anyone actually browse AW recertified systems page?

Only comes with a GO 6800, but not bad for a decent mobile replacement.

That is cheap for a 7700. If it comes with a warranty it's a bargain.

Still a good setup for the price.

Honestly, if I had an extra $1000 laying around (after shipping and maybe upgrading a few here-n-there) I'd def. buy that along with my new m5500 that's on its way

you honestly can't beat the price

Yup, look like I'm going to order one for my lil 10 year old bro, getting my paycheck next month, sale ends on 8/3. I'm prob just buy the barbone and upgrade it myself. And i also read somewhere on this forum that AW has an uprade for the m7700 where you could get a GO 7800 for like around $400-500 do it yourself installation, so $738 for a M7700 is a pretty dam good deal.

Careful... The early 7700's with the 6800go came with a motherboard revision that couldn't support the 7800, so make sure the motherboard will take higher power cards if that's your intent. The sales people should be able to tell you what revision the mobo's are.

I suspect they're only offering the 6800 as the motherboards are early.

Thanks for the heads up Hammer, I'll call and ask to see if it's an earlier mobo, if it's I'm still going to buy it, if my bro dont like it, there will be a new M7700 listed on ebay at a reserve price of $1300, hehehehe

lol, it won't be stupid when someone actually buys it and realizes it's a scam.

Grrrrrr. I hate technology supercedence. I just bought my laptop about a year ago and now its out of date and way cheaper too. AW should do one of those rent-a-pc programs where you get to upgrade every year, expecially since they now have the backing of dell.

Yup, I know what you mean Garfield, you buy the top of the line product, a few weeks later someone go something better than yours. I think my Area 51 m5500 is out of date too. I think it's going to be like thise every month now, since Intel and AMD are going at each other's throat, and Intel is planning to release new chips in 2007, but hey consumers win in the end.

Yea, and intel are going to release their quad core chips sometime in 2007 when the dual core just came out
