Audigy card = blue screen of death (i9300)

Just got this audigy 2 zs for my dell i9300.

It works, plays awesome sound, but is very sensitive. By that I mean, anything more than plugging headphones into it will cause my computer to crash. What's the deal with that? I even dropped a small wooden #2 pencil on it and it crashed. It works great, if i don't touch it.

Thanks for any help.

tose expansion slots can be VERY touchy in my expierence. at work I have seen them blue screen a laptop upon inserion, and reset another everytime a device attached downstream is powered on or off. I was aobut to buy one of those and some logitec 5500's. but now i'm dubious.

draxxus, my Audigy 2 ZS has the same problem. It wasn't always like that though. It was fine until the day I smacked the headphone plug while it was plugged into the card. That must have damaged or loosened something inside the card. Now whenever the plug is moved, even the slightest bit, I get a BSOD. Sorry I don't have a solution for you but at least you know you are not alone.

Think it's the card itself? or could it be our computers? I don't have any other notebook cards to try, but do you get similar results with different cards?

No diff cards to test, but can confirm the same problem. When my daughter runs over to see what I'm doing, steps on the cord from the card to the sound system, bam, BSoD.

Hum... that sure sucks.
And thinking I was planning to buy one.

I belive it is the card. My buddy has the same card and a 9300 and he has never experienced this problem. Of course he didn't damage his like I did mine.
