Hello i am based in england and looking to buy a laptop any ideas based on
the following spec

1gb memory
at least 60gb hard drive
intel centrino duo core technology
wireless internet capability
windows xp
maximum 800 pounds

with recent electronic advances, you should be able to find a laptop that weighs significantly less than 800 pounds.

I think he means 800 pounds as in pounds sterling, the british currency (he said he's in England). Not weight.

Still laughing about the currency v. weight thing...

For what applications do you want to use this notebook? It sounds like you're a traditional Office/Internet/E-mail type of user... (????)

800 pounds = a/b 1500 USD, no?
