WOW, i come back and there's an F'in war?! LOL, very entertaining. In my opinion, due to the fact that i was
asking about advice on 2 different laptops, bringing in an idea about a laptop that is comparable but different is not completely out of the wild. For the effort, thank you hardee17. However, Dell itself is nothing but bad news with me, personally, not even based on how great of a computer they offer.

I found computers that SEEM better than the 9700 that I am getting. If you read back in the thread you will see that ive been trying to find a good one for over a month. For example, first i tried rjtech.com, which i heard from a friend. Of course as you expect, it was total BS. Backorders, English???, one-in-all representative/owner/salesman/god; but i canceled an order on a laptop that WOULD have been better than the 9700 if i SOLELY based my buy on the meat. I later tried cyberpowerpc.com, but cancelled that order to other problems. I found after hours upon hours of reviews and phone calls that AW simply offers the best overall product. I have decided that i am buying from AW, period. I think there is a tremendous difference if you buy from ajsoidauwoidhaw Inc. or from a better brand name. It holds a rep.. If you were this guy:
And if AW was this:
I would buy from AW, even it it WAS priced higher (which, after comparing the different specs/quality on the 2 computers, doesnt seem like the case). After configuring the Dell as closely as i could to my 9700, it got to be around $2500, where the 9700 was a bit over $2800( shipping and tax brought it a lil over 3k). However, I get: A much better display, the upgradable SLI option, 12-cell vs. 9-cell, a glowing alienhead and an overall better-looking laptop. Plus alot more that i will realize when i get the actual laptop. And dont throw the "you are going for looks and brandname" junk. One day, I will buy a Ferrari not because i cant get a Honda that can be made to go just as fast, but because I will have a Ferrari. /end
