ive noticed sager and dell have come out with laptops with ati 9700m video cards im wondering when alienware is going to do the same. according to ati's website the 9700m is a 25-30% increase in perforamnce over the 9600 and thats with not much of an increase of power consumption or heat. dell came out with xps notebook with 9700m video card and its 3,200 dollars i believe thats with a 250.00 rebate could be wrong . and i dont know when sager is coming out with there model or the price if anyone has any info i would be grateful . im wanting to buy an alienware machine im half way there on getting the money . i know alienware m machines come with new way to upgrade video card im just wanting them to ship machine with 9700m video card already inside if they indeed are going to use them. also according to dells website...there notebook xps comes with a one time video card upgrade that you pay for but a dell tech has to install. they are claiming a new video card will be out in may or june? new video card? 9700m is just out....is nvidia coming out with new card in may or june or is ati? im new to this site so forgive me if this topic has been covered....i find this site very informative and cant wait to get a laptop..just not sure what to get ..again leaning towards alieware 51m.
