Hi all,
I own an D870P (8790) with 3.4 Ghz an 1024 MB Ram.
Today I´ve started the notebook like always and I only got some beeps...
After a while, I´ve found out that the system memory must be defect. I´ve
2x512MB installed. First I´ve checked if the one of these memory modules are
defect - one was defect. If checked with the ok memory module the two memory slots and the 870 works fine...
Ok, lets buy a new module...
I´ve installed the new memory and I had the same beep...

The new memory module works fine if I remove the "old" one...
The new one is a CL3 and the "old" one is an Cl2.5.
Does anybody know if these error maybe comes from a defective mainboard
or controller ???
Or is it possible that the memory modules are incomatible...
Sorry for my bad english.
Thanks in advance
