Hi.
Was wondering if its possible to boot linux or dos on a sd card on the z70va.
I know there is an option in the bios so you can boot on removable device but im not sure if its going to work with the built in card reader .

Thanks for any advice .

linux has some very basic form which can be booted from a floppy disk, so i guess it works with any removeable device just depends on bios settings
also linux has distros called live cds, you just pop the cd in the drive and it boots up a whole OS without touching the one already on the hard drive

Thanks for the reply.

I have a live CD distro but it take a very long time to boot.
Im not sure the z70va can boot from the sd card. There is an option in the bios where you can boot from removable device but i cant be sure it include the internal sd card reader.
Ive tryed to write a boot disk with Winimage on my sd card but without success. The problem (i think) is the master boot record. The sd card is considered a removable hard disk and i dont know how to make it bootable.

Thanks for any advice.

BTW my lappy is a Z70VA.
