HALO problems

i cant seem to get this game to play right...

2 issues:

1) there are no graphics, everyone are just 1 color objects, no textures or graphics at all, just blocks.

2) very choppy, lags alot.

eveyr other game ive played has been fine... COD, AOM, NWN, ...

i installed the 1.04 patch, nothing changes, set to 16 bit color, notheirng changed...

ive never had a real video card or played pc games before so im lost as to what to even try.

thoughts?

Hmm I bet thats the problem if you did not install it never assume alienware did it was not on there when I got mine but I also formated and reinstalled everything my self not 10 min after opening the box for that same reason I would know exactly what was and was not installed.

i coudl have sworn i updated everything but probably overlooked this...

it has hte option to do it in the games install ill try that...

ATI Direct3D Control Panel must be High Quality.
