Help - LCD will not display anything... Doesnt appear to be lit at all.

I have only tried booting it down and booting it back up again. Worked fine earlier at school.. When I got home it wouldn't light up... Any tips?

Just to update on the situation..

After looking close I noticed it is displaying.. It is just extremely dark... I tried turning the gamma and contrast ad brightness all the way up which took about 10 minutes of squinting... And it is still beyond dim.

Not sure what to do.

You must have killed the backlight somehow either in transport or something...which means times for RMA...which means hopefully it wasn't caused by accidental damage because if they see any physical indications when they open it up they won't honor a warranty or extended warranty...

1). Call Sager
2). Request RMA
3). Wait for new unit
4). Enjoy... or let's hope so....

Yah, most likely your backlight is dead or dying. It happens, rarely, and usually only after a couple-three years. It might be just the light wiggled loose out of its socket or a wire came loose. That would be good! Or it could be the light itself died, but they are very reliable and don't have any parts to muck up. Could also be the power supply for the light. In any case, its stuff best left to SAGER Tech unless you happen to be Uber-Geek Repairman.
