Multiple_irp_complete_requests

My E1505 running WinXP Media has recently been getting the dread 'Blue Screen of Death' due to MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS, the most recent event gave the following info: STOP: 0x00000044 (0x85CBF670, 0x00000D62, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). I'm not sure whether these values were the same for the previous 'crashes' or not. I haven't been able to determine the cause, or the situation leading to the problem, which seems to occur 'randomly' and doesn't happen every time I use the E1505. The problem first occurred after I installed a network printer driver, which has been working fine on a Toshiba M70 running WinXP Home. I uninstalled the driver, but the problem has persisted. Any BTDTs or suggestions?

did the machine produce a memory dump when this happened?

Look in the windows directory for memory.dmp and let me know what the size of the file is.

i had the same problem. once i updated all the drivers from the dell website, the issue went away. i have a feeling that there is a problem with the current firmware on the bluetooth card. as you will see, the bluetooth drivers will also update the firmware. additionally, those people without bluetooth did not get this BSOD.
good luck.

Thanks for both replies.

The message on the 'Blue Screen of Death' indicated that a memory dump had been produced, but I cannot find any memory.dmp files. The only .dmp files are Mini072906-01.dmp & similar, with only the 'numbers' (giving the file creation dates) being different. There are 6 of these files, each 92kB and located in a \Windows\Minidump folder. I suspect these are the relevant memory dumps because I have had something like 6 'crashes', starting in June, the earliest file date.

Yes, I _do_ have a Bluetooth card, but I recently did a Driver Update Search that produced no newer Drivers for anything except the Intel 3945 WiFi card. I will have another look on Dell's Support site looking specifically for an updated Bluetooth driver.

Thanks again.

I found it, just before reading your reply, thanks again. However, I'm slightly puzzled.

There are 2 updated BT module drivers: one for the 350 & one for the 355 (2.0 + EDR). My Order Form & Packing Slip both indicate that my E1505 has a 350 (2.0 + EDR). Anyone have an idea of the difference between a 350 & a 350 (2.0 + EDR), if any, &/or how to tell exactly which BT module I have? Or is this just a DELL 'typo'?
