1 month old V2000: 0 (not mine, but I used it for 2 weeks)
1 month old V5000: 0 (same, not mine)

Nothing to complain here...

When I got my M90, I had a huge clump of dead pixels. Then I cleaned the dust off my screen and they magically went away.

i had that with ibuypower when i got my uniwill with 2 busted pixels, but according to ibuypower the lcd manufacturer for my model requires 10 dead in the center of 15 dead anywhere.....but they told me i could return the laptop and reorder is, but i would stand to lose somewhere in the ballpark of $150-200 worth of shipping and restocking fees....and then there would be no warranty that my new one wouldn't have a dead/stuck pixel. So i kept it...till the screen died and they replaced it with a fresh one (actually i believe Uniwll replaced it, not ibuypower themselves). btw.....s1999 sounds like s2000-1 or somebody had a honda s2000 and then one of the wheels were stolen

If you just bought it you should be able to get another screen at least.

generally speaking, all the dead pixels that you're gonna get show their ugly side the moment you power it on for the first time, if you're in the clear, you should be safe.

unless.....you constantly poke your screen with your finger or spray windex on it....thats another story.
