Wow, I am really impressed with the new draft-n stuff. My 1500 minicard just came today and I'm hitting about 234mb/s from a good distance from my router.

Worth checking out if you get a router with Intensi-fi by brodcom.

How did you purchase the dell wireless 1500? What router are you using for it?

I ordered the 1500 from Dell and the router is a Netgear WNR834B. The b is the broadcom chip. DONT get the WNR845T cause that one is a different chipset.

I can't find the Dell 1500 wireless card on the US site either and Dell by phone can't seem to locate it either. What's the part # and where did you order it from??
when you order a new M1710 for example you have the option of upgrading to 150 but only on the dell US site, im sure we will follow over here soon

Probably local network, as there isn't any broadband solution available right now that I know that offers this kind of bandwidth.

Yes from local network. But, that is still good for dropping files onto my server.
what did your server have in it a gigabit nic?

(Yes its quite obvious it wasnt from the internet heh but even local network 230+ mbit is pretty dang quick)

Nah, just a regular 10/100. We just drop pics/music/videos across the network from our laptops onto a main desktop (server).

I need another N card. Any ideas how to get hold of one?

What part number did you use, UrT3Hn00b?

I've tried calling Dell a few times over the last few days, and get told the same thing: the card isn't available.

Yeah Intel 3945 doesnt like N routers... And you need to get a pre802.11n IEEE verified router. That may be part of your problem.
