Dell Wireless 1500 and Draft-N - Page 2

I'm using the Netgear WNR384B with 3 computers, M1710 with 3945, M1210 with 3945, and my wife's Thinkpad, and they have no problems with this N router.

Thanks for that info. Apparently, according to Dell, that part doesn't exist anymore.

Oh. but I can get a "substitute part," the 1490!
So, has anyone got a method for getting hold of one of these cards?

Thats a load of crap. I just got 3 of the cards last week.

And I meant the 3945's dont like IEEE verified pre-n routers. The Netgear WNR834B is verified so it will be fine for anything out yet.

Can you give me any information about your order that might help me get some cards, please?

I can't get Dell to locate the cards at all!

My sales rep, Iris, had a hard time finding them as well but I mentioned Dell Wireless 1500 and she found it. She said if I needed to order more to use the part number.

Yeah, the part number doesn't exist anymore says several Dell reps, irritatingly! Any more info than that you can offer? (Thanks, by the way. Any info is better than no info )

Then again, Dell may just be out of stock?

I too called Dell about the wireless 1500 card and they said that it was out of stock for 1-2 weeks and this was last week...

All else I got is the item number on my Packing Slip. It is "KK762"

Good luck everyone.

Obviously the 234 megabits you are refuring too is what windows is just saying the connection speed is, I am curious what your actual speed is on doing transfers, with 802.11g I see a 54 megabit connection all the time, but even at 5 inches from the router I get maybe 23 megabits, and maybe 15 when I am far away, so that numer doesnt really mean jack.

I can't get my hands on this card, no matter what I do. I've now been told by several reps that the part numbers no longer exist for the card.

Any other ideas?
I would like to know how to get this card as well. I'm ready to buy one, but can't seem to locate a source.
i phoned dell UK again this morning giving the part number above and they have cant source it at all, its so damned stupid how you can order these with a new laptop in america and yet in UK they havnt even heard of it!
I guess we're all in the same boat. No N cards for us.

If you guys want, I can try to order some up for us.
Please do!

I'm definitely in for two, one for my M1210 and one for my M1710. I thought I had a source for one via ebay, but that went dry, so now I need 2.
