Hello everyone... I've been reading these forums for the past couple weeks when I started researching for a future notebook purchase. When I read the posts on the G556 I was pretty set on getting that when it came out. I emailed ECS a few weeks ago asking about a release date and they told me end of Feb. Well, then I read the posts on here about not being able to find any info on the G556. Out of curiousity I emailed ECS again and they answered me back today saying "Sometime next month." So I guess I'll just forget about the G556 then. Seems like there's something weird going on with that. Kinda dissappointing. Right now I'm leaning more towards the 1557GL. I'm mostly interested in a Centrino 1.6 with a Mobile Radeon 9600 and built-in 802.11. Anyways, thanks for the good info you guys post on here!
