Question about T60 pricing on Lenovo website

When you look at this link:
http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/notebooks/t...ies/index.html

I do not understand why the Duo processor T2600 (2.13GHz) is LESS expensive then the Intel Core Duo processor T2500 (2GHz).

The T2500 comes with a better graphics card and some minor other things and the price difference is $600?????

Shouldnt the T2600 2.13GHz Duo processor be MORE expensive??

I also got employee pricing via web but it doesnt pertain to these models.

Nevermind found out why.

These IBM Lenovos are expensive even after the $300 employee discount.

It is usually on their bulk rate pricing. They might get a better pricing on the CPU and not as good on the video. Also the T60 comes with two different screen options as well. One with better resolution than the other. Usually the better video card one gets it. So you have to look at it and compare the two. The LCD will definitely make the difference in pricing.

Also, check other feature such has finger reader, larger LCD, HD, etc..

Only if your school has a deal with ibm. Your school should have its own site that lists the models they get a deal on, or you can call lenovo and ask.

The T2600 does cost more, but it's not the only difference in the systems.

If you read the specs beyond processor, you'll notice that the T60p has a better screen and a 256MB ATI FireGL V5200 vidcard...which makes a huge difference. It also comes with a Verizon Sierra CDMA2000 Wireless Wide Area Network card.
