M1710 No stereo mixer volume slider in recording contols under volume controls

Hello,

I need the use of the stereo mixer but Im not sure if this is possible with my
M1710.
I go to volume control-options-properties-recording but theres no option for it, only line in and microphone. Is there a way to get the extra slider i need or any alternative software which may give it to me?

Dell XPS support said I may be able to find something. If not Id have to buy an external sound card

What specifically are you trying to record?

The Sigmatel driver provided by Dell doesn't include the stereo mixer as you've noted but I'm going to try to add it when I have time, if possible.
