e1505 "Dumping Physical Memory"

Hey guys, I've had my e1505 for about a month now and it's been a great purchase. The only problem I have with it is this "dumping physical memory." (the 'blue screen of death?') Well it's happened to me three times now....one time I was playing a game (about 3 weeks ago) and it just suddenly "shut down" on me...with the blue screen...dumping physical memory or something. Yesterday i took out the AC adapter and left it on, my e1505 automatically is put on "stand-by" to conserve battery life....but when I press my power button to turn it back on...it has the "dumping physical memory" display. Same scenario today as well. Here's the error log I managed to find:

BCCode : 1000008e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : B9BFC9A0 BCP3 : B13ED4E4
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERabb5.dir00\sysdata.xml

I read it had to do with my IP or something. Should I be concerned with this? My e1505 works fine after I reboot....should I ask Dell about it? Suggestions welcome.

Thanks,
John.

I've got the e1505 and have had the same problem. I've only had the system for a week and a half now, it's happened about 3 times. Now the laptop won't even charge and it's dead so I can't do anything with it. I'm really not happy about it right now, but I sent Dell an e-mail asking what I have to do...hopefully I get an answer.

Haha, you know if you are a little "tough" with Dell, they cave like no one's business. I sent an e-mail telling them that there is no way a week-and-a-half old laptop should have the blue screen of death 3 times (in very limited use at that) and not be able to hold a charge. I told them it was rediculous that my system didn't even last me 2 weeks before having an issue (or 2).

So what do they do...

"Thank you for contacting Dell Warranty Support.

****, a request has been submitted to ship a new replacement system to you.

The replacement system will be factory new."

This makes me a happy camper.

sporrer17: wow, that's great. I'm assuming Dell wants the first system back right? do you think I could be able to do the same? would be a bummer though cause i have everything setup now. =(

Yeah they definitely want the first system back. I'm assuming that you can probably get the system replaced as well if that's what you are aiming for. Just don't play their little games with them, or you'll screw yourself over. Just be firm with them and tell them that it's not acceptable to have a month old system crashing like that. I think one of the big things I did was threaten to return the system.
