Thanks!

Hello Graceanne. Go to Power management settings, it should be the battery or plug icon at bottom right. Double click it and in the window and select 'OFF' for bluetooth, where it will be 'ON'. Do it for battery DC and mains AC power. Select apply both times. thats it.

But i dont see a plug icon at the right..And I cliked on an icon of a battery and it doesn't say anything about the bluetooth

You didn't see the plug icon because you have battery power at the moment. Do you have a blue lamp at the front side? are you SURE you didn't see bluetooth in power settings? cos I just looked at the .pdf for your model 1642...and you should have something!!

So I should leave it unplugged for a while so then I will get the plug icon? And i don't see a blue lamp though...

if you don't have a blue lamp then you don't have bluetooth on I guess. if you didn't see bluetooth in power management you haven't got it, but you should have it, so it should be there. from there you switch it off.
No, if you have it plugged to mains power you see a 'plug' thingy at bottom right, or abattery charging symbol. If you are on battery only you just see a green/gray battery instead.

Is bluetooth a button? Because on my Acer, in the front there is this lit-up orange rectangle button and when the light goes off it means the internet is disconnected..Now everytime i come back tomy computer in the morning that light is off..

But what about that orange button in the front on my notebook? Isn't that the bluetooth? So, if I dont have bluetooth then we are back at square one

That orange one does it have a button? does it have a circle/antenna symbol next to it? are there any other lights? See, mine has four lights along the front like a christmas tree-bluetooth/blue with switch, orange/wi-fi with switch, green/lamp symbol, and an orange lamp that-changes-to-green battery on/charging/charged. you may not even have bluetooth, you will have to prove to us that you caused us to write all these messages for a reason!!!!!
