Sorry to hear about your misfortune. You mentioned in another thread that the power-button lights up? Do any fans spin up? Get any hard-drive vibration?
I'm assuming the processor is the correct one for this laptop? Please tell us which cpu you've got- if you have one the bios doesn't support, it won't boot.
Also, why don't you provide some background as to where the laptop came from? Maybe you have some recourse to the original owner being stand-up.
Should it get to it, sometimes you can steal a board off ebay for < $100. Usually there'll be a few there which are refurbs, pulls, etc.
