Only for e-mail, music and movie the cheapest CPU would be enough. A core duo would be nice to have, but a T2500 is really oversized (for your use)

if all you want to do is basic word processing and surfing the net, both of those lappys are over powered and over priced. go get yourself one of the $400 dollar lappys from bestbuy or compusa. anything more is just wasting your money.
