How Can I Get A Cheaper M1210?

I have my system set up on the Dell site all spec'd out to how I like it and it totals 1,800 dollars. Thats buying my 2gb of ram off another retailer. How can I get a better deal? Coupons, incentives, rebates?

How can anyone get a better deal with this new pricing system??!?!?!

Surf the outlet if you are willing to accept a refurbished system. I got a nice loadout (my second m1210) for 1200. I think there might be a 10% off coupon floating around too.

If the costco deal is still active, that was a pretty good loadout as well.

If you dont mind getting the 1.66 the costco deal starts at 1299 with the 7400 included. You can always upgrade the processor later..

By that do you mean that the buyer would have to manually upgrade the processor?

Or could i upgrade it somehow by contacting Dell before i purchase it?

Reason i ask is because i am literally ON THE VERGE of buying one from costco. I actually spoke with a Dell Rep at one of those Dell kiosk things at the mall, and apparently Dell is willing to price match and also take 5% off the price...?

Try to customize again online (at Dell website) then note the cart #. Call Dell's sales rep and tell them the cart # and that you want that system but your budget is $1,xxxx (lower it than their online price). See if they'll give you what you can pay. If no, hang up. Call again next day and try your luck to find a Dell Sales rep that will give you a good deal.
