Fax Software

is there software out there that will turn my computer into a fax machine? meaning if i type something up in word or anyother software i can send it to a fax machine via an internet connection?? does something like this exist?

there are various website that do it for a fee. I use my cell phone to send a fax.

My dad uses efax. Works well for him & he's happy with it, but I've never used it myself.

I would recommend going with eFax just because I've heard a lot about it and I use it to receive faxes (which I've never had a problem with).

However, no matter what software/service you use, make sure you double-check the restraints on the documents you are sending. Margins, maximum sizes (document and file), etc. can all play a factor.

If you're not doing it that much, just use the built-in Fax software in Windows XP. Check http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...october21.mspx for more information.

There is: The Phone Company - http://www.tpc.int/. Unfortunately, it only exists in certain areas, and depends on volunteers to run the servers at their own expense.
