trying to get an external monitor for my laptop

hi,

My laptop is a s460b with a NVIDIA 6200tc video card. My question is that what max resolution the video card in my s460b is capable of supporting?

I am planning on buying a VX2025WM. The native resolution of this monitor is 1680x1050.

A 6200 should be able to support up to 2048x1536 on external. If I'm wrong about that I KNOW it supports 1680x1050. You wont have a problem with that monitor.

nightnight, go into your display properties, then settings, click on monitor 2, then click the advanced button, then adapter, then click list all modes button. it will list all available supported resolutions.

alternatively you can, after clicking on monitor 2 above, look at the resolution slider, it will show you the resolution options also.
