On my Travelmate 4000 there is an ethernet port and an entry for 'Broadcom 440x 10/100 integrated controller' in the device manager. Problem is the device manager is reporting that the device cannot start (Code 10). I have tried every driver I can find from those on the recovery CD, to updated ones on Acer's support site, to drivers from Broadcom's site. In every case the driver update failed, the wizard would report either it can't find a better match from the existing drivers or the device cannot start.
