PC Games - DVD Version

Hello,

I've been looking at games like Ghost Recon and Raven Shield, and it seems the latest retail versions are DVD style. From the photos I see, it seems like those are just regular DVD boxes. Do they come with a manual? Also, are there anything I should beware of? I've never owned a DVD game before but do have a DVD drive with my E1705.

Thanks,

Yang

Gaming companies started using DVD's to install games insead of 4+ regular CD's. So its just like a normal game that you would buy except the installation is on one disk (depending on the game). Take World of Warcraft for example. It took FOUR dvd disks to install. That would have been 12 regular cd's >.<

So, no worries on buying the games on DVD disks!

They need to do more dvd's if you ask me. I hate swapping out cd's

also if you want to play your game immediatly you can always buy and download instantly from direct2drive.com that's where i got my copy of ghost recon, then i just burned it to a dvd. didn't care much for ghost recon on pc myself, the story mode was to drawn out, had to walk for what seemed like miles before i met with my team, and like i couldn't really run, just speed walk, and always reverted back to the croutch position...not enought patience for me. i sooner play Lockdown
