I actually bought mine barebones through a company called Gen-X-PC (no processor, memory, wireless, hard drive, or O/S). Only took a week to recieve. I ordered the parts at the same time as the notebook, and they came in about the same time. A couple of hours after all the parts came in, brand new notebook with a nice, clean O/S

well, I had a malx on order for about 3 decades....well, about 2 months. Which they had my 5k dollars and I had nothing to show for it. They never even called me when my approx(insert joke here!) ship date passed. SO, long story short....I ordered a 5950 fully loaded for about 1200 or so less and recieved it in 5 days!! (I payed for overnight which was still cheaper than alienwares ground shipping) I hate to put down alienware because I have owned 3 systems from them and they have performed flawlessly. But they really are terrible in customer service and delivery of a new multi thousand dollar system. I have really been happy with my new sager!! Call powernotebooks.com and ask for ryan, he was great!! Terrific communication e-mail and phone follow up! And, believe it or not he called me after I had they system for a week just to see if I had any questions or complaints!! Well, good luck with your new system!

Dual GTX's and you got 9904... You need to do some O/C on that beautiful machine..It's capable of 10k+

With an ML-44, I know I could hit 12k in 3dmark05
post #14 of 28
definately not worth upgrading to the 7900's, i get 6300+ in 06 with my 7800's and ML44.. both chip and video overclocked a bit.

hey, where you get your video driver? The one I have is on the Sager site, but you appear to have a newer one.
Download the newest driver from www.laptopvideo2go.com
post #18 of 28
I've tried their drivers, the SLI doesnt work in the laptops for some reason.
Yes but i wanted a standard score to judge from without overclocking. Just to compare gains

The drivers I'm using (84.78) actually came on a CD with the system. I've tried using the 90 series drivers from laptopvideotogo.com and tweaksrus.com but they don't support SLI. I'm at work and don't have the disk with me but, when I go home this evening, I'll post them.
