Ewww.... I have never, after how many notebooks I've handled in my day, seen or felt a decent AMD notebook. Even the new Turion 64 X2s run so damn hot.

Core 2 Duo notebooks will be the way to go. Why use hotter, slower, more power hungry chips?

Dont get me wrong I love my AMD desktop but my notebooks will always have intel.....ATI has alot of work ahead of them trying to make AMD more attractive to the notebook/laptop world.

MSI 1029 and Acer Ferrari systems i think both achieved very excellent status as Turion powered laptops.

You cannot compare Turion X2 to Core 2 Duo for the reason that they are different generations. You may say "but...they are both 64 bit and dual core, so why not?" the Turion X2 was designed over a year ago....the Merom uses new technology. The only fair comparison will be with the next generation of Turion chips which have hopefully already integrated some of ATI's technology and most likely using their chipsets.

Personally I am happy to see more AMD laptops on the market. I am not partial to either company since i have computers powered by both.....but this is a great chance for AMD to expand. I am also happy because i am an AMD stockholder and as they grow...my wallet grows

The HP nx6125 and nx6325 are excellent AMD based notebooks.
Hopefully DELL will do a good job and offers AMD notebooks with good configuration options.
