I would stick with the big names when it comes to RAM (Corsair, Crucial, Mushkin, etc), but that's just the A+ Tech in me speaking. I guess if the Patriot RAM comes with a lifetime warranty, then go for it......
Actually I read some Patriot memory will run at 533 instead of 667 on the E1705. If you want some memmory msg me I just bought some from someone at a great price and he still has more left. (1 gig sticks)
I got the Patriot 667mhz 2 x 1GB sticks. Confirmed at 667mhz both in BIOS and in CPU-Z, and passed Memtest. I guess the problems were with earlier batches of the memory? These run fine for me, and I noticed a huge difference versus 1GB @ 533mhz.
Yeah, I got 2GB of Patriot 667MHz memory a few days ago and it is working great. I checked the bios and it is, in fact, running at 667. I scored 57XX on 3Dmark05 but thats with a 7800 on auto overclock. Not sure if that is good or bad.
