Dead pixel in CENTER of screen

I just got my 5660 and i have two dead pixels. The first one doesn't bother me, but the second one is bright green and in the center of the screen.

Does anyone know how to determine the area of the screen covered my sager's new screen replacement policy? From the post by pctorque, the convered area seems rediculously small. My dead pixel is almost dead center, but just a little off. I hope i'm covered because this bright green pixel is pissing me off real bad. Thanks

As PCTORQUE said, draw an imaginary (or real if you want) # sign on your screen. if the dead pixel is in the center square (center 9th of your screen) then it's covered by this new policy.

Oh that's what he meant! Okay great, i'm covered. Anyone know how long the turnaround is?

Also, since i ordered my laptop before 2/18/03, but just received it today (2/21/03), am i still covered?

I think so (remember, I'm not authority on this, but I think it would be covered)

Just out of curiosity, what did YOU think he meant about the portion of the screen the pixel had to be in?

You've got 30 days from the date it ships out from Sager I believe, so you'd be covered.

Yes, give Sager a call, reference your order number and that you have a painted notebook from colorware to see if they will allow you the LCD swap..

I was confused. I thought maybe he was saying the dot had to be within an actual "#" at the center of the screen. lol

i see on the site that the pixels have to be 5 or more, so you have less than 5 so whats the policy on that?

Well there's a new policy out that if you draw an imaginary # on your screen and your pixel is in the middle square, you can still get it replaced, regardless of the number of dead pixels.
